LISTEN: The Austin Chronicle Show on KOOP FM
By Kimberley Jones, 6:31PM, Fri. Sep. 17, 2021
The fall arts season gets swinging (and COVID throws a few punches back).
On this week’s episode of The Austin Chronicle Show, Arts Listings Editor Wayne Alan Brenner talks about his cover story profile of stonecutter artist Megan Shogan, and he previews the season’s offerings in art, classical music, dance, and more. We also talk a little bit about how arts orgs are adapting to COVID.
In the second half of the episode, music critic Doug Freeman goes deep on Heartless Bastards’ new album A Beautiful Life and Erika Wennerstrom’s evolution as an artist. For copyright reasons, we’ve had to remove the songs from this rebroadcast, but if you want to listen along, the featured tracks are: “Revolution,” “You Never Know,” and “How Low.”
