Strange bedfellows has always been a winning part of the Texas Tribune Festival formula, wherein politicians and policy makers of all stripes put aside their differences to come together under one (metaphorical, mostly collegial) tent.
Today’s full lineup showcases that continued diversity in speakers. Among the notables:
• Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Emerita of the U.S. House of Representatives, D-California
• Lyle Lovett, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter
• Janet Yellen, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury
• Sterlin Harjo, co-creator and showrunner of Reservation Dogs
• Jen Psaki, MSNBC host and former White House Press Secretary
• Wes Moore, Governor of Maryland
• Jamie Raskin, U.S. Representative, D-Maryland
• Michael Burgess, U.S. Representative, R-Lewisville
• Margaret Sullivan, Guardian U.S. columnist
• Maya Phillips, arts and culture critic, The New York Times
• John Sharp, Chancellor, Texas A&M University System
• Amanda Zurawski, reproductive rights advocate
• John Bolton, former U.S. National Security Advisor (Trump administration) and Republican consultant
TribFest 2024 takes places Sept. 5-7 in Downtown Austin. Ticket info available here. The schedule – including programming for the free and open-to-the-public Open Congress event – will be announced in coming weeks. See today’s full speaker lineup here.
