LISTEN: The Austin Chronicle Show on KOOP Community Radio
By Kimberley Jones, 6:31PM, Fri. Nov. 19, 2021
On this’s episode of The Austin Chronicle Show on 91.7 FM, we’re tackling politics and punk.
In the first half of the program, News Editor Mike Clark Madison and staff writer Austin Sanders explain how the recent redistricting has shifted the political futures for some Dems; they run through which candidates have declared in which races. (And an update from in between when we taped and when the show goes to air — Claudia Zapata has shifted her focus to challenge Chip Roy in TX-21.)
In the second half, music writer Carys Anderson comes on the show to expand on her profile of punk band Pussy Gillette in this week’s issue. Due to copyright, we can’t reproduce the excerpted songs in this rebroadcast stream, but you can listen along with the links below.
Want to catch the show live next time? Tune in Fridays, 6pm, to KOOP 91.7 FM or livestream the show at koop.org.
